We support our libraries in 3 primary ways:

We fuel innovation through grants.

The Cobb Library Foundation bridges the gap between county funding and community needs by securing grants that bring technology, resources, and creativity to life. From iPads on the Bookmobile and Wacom tablets in creative studios, to state-of-the-art projectors and interactive learning tools, our grants ensure libraries have the tools to inspire every generation. By partnering with civic groups, businesses, and generous individuals, we invest in innovation that keeps Cobb’s libraries thriving.

We advocate for the libraries’ future.

Libraries are essential community anchors—and advocacy is at the heart of our mission. We amplify the voices of library users by working alongside county leaders, legislators, and community partners to champion projects that expand access, equity, and opportunity. Whether it’s supporting a new bookmobile, securing capital for renovations, or celebrating “Library of the Year” recognition, the Foundation stands as a trusted advocate ensuring Cobb libraries remain strong today and for generations to come.

We promote libraries as community hubs.

The Foundation brings visibility to the vital role libraries play in our daily lives. Through events like the Booked for the Evening Gala, Love Your Library campaigns, and dynamic reading programs, we celebrate literacy, creativity, and connection. We promote libraries not just as places for books, but as vibrant community hubs—where children discover reading, teens explore technology, and adults find lifelong learning opportunities. By sharing stories of impact, we invite our community to see—and support—the full power of their public library.
